Pumpkin Patch

Cute! Cute! Cute!

Love her to bits!

A very rare photo with all three actually looking at the camera!!

Zoe is into making crazy faces for the camera! This one is my favorite!
What a day for the Pumpkin Patch! It was blustery and cold but we had so much fun! We found great pumpkins and the girls were silly as usual! Harper was walking all over the place and thought the piggies were fascinating. Zoe was bummed that the haunted house wasn't open and Teagan spent the entire time looking for the perfect pumpkin!

First Day of School

Zoe is off to her first day of first grade. She did awesome this morning and will have all sorts of things to share when she gets home at 2:45!
Teagan started in the 4 year old class at the pre-school and there were some familiar faces, so it made things a bit easier for her!

Summer

We have had a busy few weeks of summer. Lots of playing, crafting, going to the park, Vacation Bible Schools, bike riding, running around outside, bonfires and s'mores and just enjoying the freedom of no school and lots of daylight. Here are some pictures.

Why is it that when you start a project, it snowball's into about 15 other projects????

We decided to move Zoe into the guest/craft/sewing room 2 weeks ago. It's been a good move because all the girls seem to sleep better (not talking at night, waking each other up at the crack of dawn) and they are trying to keep their own stuff clean up. The problem is, there is still a bunch of my stuff in Zoe's new room. I go in to move something, realize that I need to clean out and reorganize the hall closet to accommodate what I'm moving and 2 hours, 10 interruptions later, I've moved one, rather small thing out of her room! At this rate, it will take me a year to get her some room in the closet!!

And of course, her room, the smallest of the two, is where everyone wants to play and hang out, making it that much harder for me to do anything! I'm too embarrassed to even post a picture so you'll just have to wait until it's totally finished. Check back next year!!

Still here

We are still here, still alive and still doing stuff - just doing lots of stuff and having a hard time finding the time and motivation to sit down and blog. I will do it this week though - I have some pictures of the our hike yesterday, the busy girls and more!

A quick update to keep you interested:

  • Zoe had her first visit to the dentist (her first appt. just for her actually) and everything is great. She even got to play dentist with Dr. Birch - he is so awesome!

  • Harper is scooting herself all over the place and nothing is safe! She is into talking to you and is really funny! The big girls try to get her to come to their room by tempting her with her toys!

  • Duffy has been on a route where he's had the last 4 Saturday's off! It makes for a long Mon-Fri. but it has been nice having the extra day off. Only 1 more week though then it's back to his normal schedule.

  • The big girls are busy, busy, busy with school and loving it. Zoe is learning to read like a champ and it's funny when she askes what words mean, she never gives you the context! Teagan like to think she can read. She had "Hop on Pop" the other day and told Zoe she could read it; she just sat their whispering to herself!

I will post again this week, I promise! I have a few recipes to do and some pics to post!

First Day of Kindergarten

Zoe had her first day of kindergarten yesterday and she did GREAT! Her teacher is awesome and seems really good and directing the kids and making things fun and interesting. Zoe was a little timid at first but had so much to talk about when we picked her up yesterday. When we were talking about the fact that she gets to go to school everyday, she was concerned when she would get a day off! Duffy is off this week, so he took her this morning and we can't wait to hear all about her 2nd day! She, all of the sudden, seems like a bigger kid.
