SWAGGER WAGON

Anyone that knows me well, knows how I have PROTESTED getting a mini-van. I drove my Volvo wagon (which I got when Zoe was a baby) until Harper was 3 months old and it no longer worked with 3 kids all in car seats or booster seats. I test drove a Sienna while I was pregnant with H and I cried. Literally. I had to stop while I was driving because I was crying - I just didn't see myself as the mini-van driving mom. It would be fine with all the kids in it, but what about when I was by myself?? Nothing screams Suburban Housewife more than a mini-van!

That being said, I think I could drive one of these - the totally pimped out version of course! Oh, I'd have to sell off all non-vital organs to pay for it but this is a HOT mini-van!! Enjoy!

***BTW - I drive a Suburban. Where I live, it yells Small Town, Stay-at-home-mother of more than one child pretty loudly too! Especially when you roll in behind 5 others dropping Z off at school!!

Teagan Turns 4

Happy Birthday dear Teagan! We welcomed you to our little family 4 years ago and it has been so much fun! You are constantly full of energy and love following/pestering your big sister! You love Harper so much, always wanting to play with her and help her out - even if she doesn't need it! You love going to school and playing with your friends. You LOVE music! Your dad and I always notice you singing and lately, playing the air guitar! You are always moving - dancing mostly. The minute music comes on, which is frequently at our house, you are moving and grooving!

You are such a wonderful, good-natured, happy little girl and we love you very, very much!!

Mr. P

We met Mr. P when he was only a few months old. His parents were some of the first people we met when we started going to Olympic-View and we have been friends ever since. We've shared many dinners and celebrated birthday's together these past 2 years and are looking forward to many more.

When P was about a year old, Teagan was obsessed with him. She was going to marry him when he got older, planned on taking him to San Diego with her (whenever that was!). P's parents work from home, so I've watched him a few times when they needed me. I've always thought it was fun having him around and now that he is 2, he interacts and plays great with the girls.

A couple of weeks ago, Shannon, his mom, asked if I was interested in watching him one morning a week and more when her other babysitter wasn't available. YES! YES! YES! He fits right in with my kids, adds a great "boy" vibe to our all girl house and Zoe and Teagan play better when he's here. The funny thing is, after she asked me about watching him, I got a notice from Unemployment that my benefits were up at the end of the next week - the same week I would start watching him! Talk about great timing - Thank you GOD! I watched him every day last week and it was great. The girls ask regularly what day Mr. P is coming over and Zoe keeps telling me she is practicing for when she is old enough to babysit.

I am looking forward to Mr. P Mondays (and any other day that he may be here) and watching him grow up! He is too cute!
